The Rogues: Ménage à Trois

The Rogues

Mateo started The Rogues in 1971 and they stayed together for a dozen years. He and his two best friends were co-conspirators in a project that took them all over the Midwest and Canada. They developed their musical chops along the way, never ceasing to have a rollicking good time. This recording is their only one, is long out of print, was an LP which did pretty well for them. It is from 1980. It reflects Mateo’s growing fascination with flamenco. The band broke up two years later when Mateo moved to Spain for a year.

Personnel

Scott Mateo Davies: electric and flamenco guitars, vocals
Steven Pelletier: drums, congas, piano and vocals
William Duel: electric bass

Note from Mateo

I’ve decided to put up downloads of several of my recordings. They are available at no cost. Any contribution is greatly appreciated and only serves to help me continue my musical journey. Picasso said “the meaning of life is to find your gift; the purpose of life is to give it away.” I love this sentiment, I embrace it, and I will seek to live by it, from this point on.

Minimum price: $0.00
